so totally close: craft fairs in Detroit & Pittsburgh

I realized during my trip to Pittsburgh this spring that I had created an irrational mental barrier when it comes to the States that made traveling Down South seem like a far greater ordeal than is actually the case. For example, I could decide to go to Montreal (~ 6hr drive) for the weekend at a moment’s notice, but a trip to Pittsburgh (~5hr drive) required weeks of planning and a really good reason. This is all to say that, crusty customs guards aside, the border should not prevent us from partaking in US craftiness happening nearby. Two upcoming indie craft events of note:
