CRAFTY CHAT: Zhiyuan Cong, Artist Talk and Printmaking Demo (Oct 29 & Nov 1)

Zhiyuan Cong, Artist Talk and Printmaking Demo

Open Studio is pleased to announce that US-based artist Zhiyuan Cong will be visiting Toronto (Oct. 29 - Nov. 1) and will present two public presentations during his stay. Both events are open to the general public and admission is free.

Artist Talk, co-presented by Open Studio and OCAD
Wednesday, Oct. 29, 7 pm, Room 284 at the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD).

Printmaking Demonstration
Saturday, November 1, 3 - 6 pm, at Open Studio.

Zhiyuan Cong is a Professor and Head of the Printmaking Program at William Patterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. Cong has two MFA degrees: one in printmaking from Indiana University and the other in Chinese painting from the Nanjing Arts Institute in 1986. His work is steeped in both traditional Chinese and contemporary Western traditions, which he melds together in his prints and paintings.
