VENDOR CALL: new designers sought for fresh collective

Fresh Collective, Toronto's best clothing collective according to Now Magazine, is 5 years old this spring! We provide a great opportunity for up and coming local designers to sell their work, and be involved in an amazing store. We have an opening for the spring for a new designer of fashion, jewellery, accessories or kid stuff and are looking for the right person to join our ranks. We're a hard-working, creative and supportive group, and many designers have grown their business very successfully in our framework.

In a nutshell, you pay a monthly rent and work one day a week in the store. It gives you a great chance to be available to your customers, help create branding for your product, see what people buy and why, and learn from the 15 other designers, all while having your product selling in a well-known store in a great location seven days a week.

Build your clientelle! We have a very loyal following, and all the designers involved are putting lots of energy into directing their customers to our shop! As a team, we have so much strength, talent, knowledge and experience, and we're happy to share what we know with the group.

Fresh Collective is also looking for unusual products for kids- crazy stuffed animals, funky kids clothes, handmade toys or puppets or who knows? We're expanding our kids section and loosening up our usual "members only" policy for kids products only, to spice things up a bit, and include a great mix of fabulous locally made products for kids. I know many of the baby product crafters are stay-at-home moms making their stuff during naptime, and aren't able to do our typical commitment to the shop which includes working a day a week in the shop, so we're trying something new! Contact Laura-Jean at knittingqueen@rogers.com and send pictures and info abut what you make, and let's see if it's a good fit for our shop!

Check out our website at www.freshcollective.com for more info, and contact Laura-Jean at knittingqueen@rogers.com.

Thanks so much!

Laura-Jean
