CRAFTY TREND: recycled glass vases

i've been seeing these pretty vases and glasses made of recycled wine and beer bottles everywhere i look lately, and it's telling me to get myself down to the the workroom to buy the $39 kit. has anyone out there attempted this project yet?

2. apartment therapy and treehugger are loving Transglass by Artecnica. these are made by Emma Woffenden and the illustrious Tord Boontje. the recycled, handcrafted glassware comes in greens, clears, and browns (just like beer bottles!):
