NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN BUMPED FORWARD FROM DEC. 16, 2007

Due to "the storm of the century," The Sewing Studio's first-ever, month-long holiday charity event has changed dates. The Sewing Studio would like to announce that deadlines for participants have been extended and the wrap party will now be held on February 24th, 2008.

The Sewing Studio's
Six-Hour Sweatshop Wrap-Up
Holiday Party
Sunday, February 24, from 9.30am to 3.30pm

The Sewing Studio
266 Avenue Road
416-901-0758

As The Sewing Studio's first-ever, month-long holiday charity event, the Six-Hour Sweatshop, comes to an end participants, media and friends are invited to stop by the studio to join the instructors for holiday cheer (that means treats!), and to sew or purchase hand-crafted gifts for three very deserving charities. On
Sunday, February 24, from 9.30am to 3.30pm, see familiar faces and donate your time and creative spirit to those in need. Everyone who stops by has a chance to win some great prizes, including a one-year subscription to FASHION Magazine, a free Feature Workshop and a free full-length course at the studio!

Participants in the Six-Hour Sweatshop have been hard at work on embellished scarves for The Assaulted Women's Helpline (http://www.awhl.org/), a tote bag for children in Africa, being sent through Fundamentalz Project P.L.A.Y. (http://www.fundamentalz.ca/) and a children's plush toy for kids with Down Syndrome at the Quinte Health Care centre (http://www.qhc.on.ca/).

Start the holidays off right with an afternoon of giving. See you at The Sewing Studio.
