FACQ (frequently asked crafty question): web designer/programmer rec needed

web programmer needed

I get inquiries all the time from crafters looking for web designers and programmers and thought it would be great if we could work together to come up with a list of recommended individuals or companies who offer these services. Comment on this post with your recs and don't be shy to offer your own services. Please try to provide a website or online portfolio if one is available.

Thanks!

Hi - OK, I'm going to do as you suggest and promote myself! I'm a web designer affiliated with two software engineers. I design, they grind, and it works out very well for us and for our clients.

The software used is called OpenEdit and it allows the end user (you) to edit your own website, which is perfect for photographers, jewellers, craftspeople, etc., because your work is constantly changing and you can upload images of your work as often as you want. You can also create new ad copy, product descriptions, news about where you're exhibiting or fairs that you'll be attending.

In conjunction with the client, I create a web design that they're happy with, turn it over to IJ Solutions who do the coding and they turn it back to me to upload content (which you provide - your images, photos, etc.) Prices depend on how many pages you need, blogging ability, Paypal capability for on-line sales, hosting services, and so on.

You can check out some of our joint collaborations at www.windisgood.ca, www.batteauxcreek.com, www.womenwithvision.ca, www.chinodin.ca, www.soundinvestmentchoir.ca and www.jdfarms.com.

If you're interested in my designs and would like to contact me, please contact kateknox60@gmail.com or go to www.ijsolutions.ca to learn more about OpenEdit. On the 'Contact Us' site, you can request my services.

I LOVE working with this software and the clients I've designed for are extemely happy with it as well.
