CRAFTY HAPPENING: city of craft

cityofcraftlogo-proof

So the time has come for us to announce a crafty scheme we’ve been hatching for the past little while, something I hope many of you will be excited about attending & participating in. This project arose in part out of CraftChat T.O. where it became clear that there was a need for greater opportunities for resource and info sharing amongst the craft-inclined.

Enter City of Craft, which will go down on Dec. 1, 2007 at The Theatre Centre (1086 Queen Street West - Downstairs).

City of Craft aims to build community in the Toronto craftscape, support independent craft businesses, and encourage the larger community to get involved with crafty happenings in the city.

This is a community-based craft culture event where local guilds, community-arts groups, craft based initiatives/projects, studios, and other organisations are invited to do outreach to the public alongside a curated craft fair and craft-based installations. City of Craft is a place to buy, observe, experience, chat about, share and reimagine all things handmade.

We will put out a call for vendors & exhibitors shortly. And there will be all sorts of volunteer opportunities, so get baking!!!
