Hoop-la at the Disco

July 25th - August 7th
Fly Gallery
1172 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON
'Hoopla at the Disco' is an installation of various sized pieces made using embroidery hoops which have been suspended from a rotating disco ball creating a kitsch-meets-craft dance party!
Katelyn Di Giulio is a graduate from both Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB, and the Independent Studio Program at the Toronto School of Art. With a background in printmaking, photography, sculpture and theatre design, she now blends these together by working as a mixed-media artist. Di Giulio explores fabrics and fashion, vintage and kitsch, the feminine and craft-work, as well as pop culture and film.
