LESLIEVILLE TREE FESTIVAL

Dearest Crafty Craft-Maker: Consider this Grove of Considerable Fu-uhn

Artisan Hut!

On Saturday, May 12th 2007 12pm-4pm, join city councilor Paula Fletcher, LEAF ( Local Enhancement and Appreciation of Forests) and Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation in Leslie Grove Park in Leslieville for this big old neighbourhood arbour-up!

A family-oriented event that offers a fun-filled way to learn about and celebrate our local urban forests, music, food, story-tellers, kids activities, wonders and spectacles, and local artists will be part of this event. We also wish to invite craft-makers and artisans.

What better day and place to come out and peddle your wares!

Seasoned or unseasoned crafty person, make up a little table to sell your tree toys, idiosyncratic high fashions, doggie-dog sweaters, crocheted pirate booty, chip-bag hand-bags, handmade soap, jewelry, zines, love potions. Brownie points for having a tree or eco-theme. Whatever you think is beautiful, fun and appropriate on such a day.

Table registration is $20. Registration for not-for-profit organizations is free. Table set up is from 10:00am to 11:30am on the day of the festival.

If you require more information or to register, please email sbaker2 AT toronto.ca or phone at 416-338-7185.

Leslie Grove Park is at the corner of Queen St and Jones Ave.
