Was I the only one who didn't know that 2007 was declared the year of craft by the Canadian Crafts Federation? Their website says that "Craft Year 2007 is a chance to explore, appreciate and flaunt your craft (decorative arts, visual arts, material history, ethnology, archaeology) collections… and to make new connections and statements about the past, present and future of craft… the art and culture of Canadian craft. "

if you are hosting a crafty event, you can register it on their website and it will be listed alongside hundreds of other crafty events across the nation (and it's free!).

the website hosts a small library of craft-related articles, which i'm hoping will expand ;)
