planning ahead

we've barely finished taking down the halloween decorations, but some of us are already planning what we're making for christmas, hannuka or other holidays. some may be crafting decorations and some may be making gifts.

if you need a space, materials & motivation (and some fun learning too!), here are a few christmas workshops to get you started:

MaRGie Jewellry & Gifts: Glass Fusing
Why not make your own holiday gift for that special friend or family member?

MaRGie Jewellery & Gifts will be holding a glass fusing class at MaRGie headquarters (Toronto East). Sunday November 26th from 1-3
For $40 you'll walk away with a pendant (that you've made) and sterling silver chain or for $60 you can make two pendants.

C1 Art Space:
Fun workshops for kids. (and accompanying adult)
workshops are suited for children interested in exploring a variety of mediums. All ages. Children 4 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for mess.
SATURDAY MORNINGS 10:30 am to 12 noon. Registration at 10:15 am
$18 per session or 5 sessions for $80 per child. All materials and taxes included.

Clay Ornaments- Saturday, December 2
Holiday ornaments such as mittens, gloves, snowflakes, snow people and more are created and decorated in clay. Great for gifts!

Silk Screened Holiday Cards- Saturday, December 9
Drawings are silk screened onto paper and decorated for a set of 10 cards for the holidays.

The Japanese Paper Place: Japanese paper decorations
Christmas Treats for Christmas Trees with Katrin & Yuri Shumakov
Sat. November 25, 1 – 5 pm $40 + 2.40 gst
Add the charm of origami to your Christmas Tree with wondrous Japanese paper decorations, all original designs by the Shumakovs – Christmas bells, stars, ornaments, chainlet-garlands, kusudama, and mittens.
Origami-artists, Katrin and Yuri Shumakov, will teach you how to make origami magic in creating these Christmas Treats for Christmas Trees!
Suitable for all levels, age 8 and up.

Nanopod Studio: Jewellery making & metal work

Open Studio Saturdays {11th has 2 spaces left- 18th has 3 spaces}
Saturdays from 1pm to 5pm
Starting November 11th - Just in time for the Holidays!
$75.00 per person + materials* { sign up for 2 saturdays- $130) Pre-registration is required.

Enamel pieces (copper, silver), make ring bands, do some etching, lost wax casting, etc.
These Open Studio saturdays are for production - Free your inner elf! Make gifts, ornaments, jewelry for yourself- or to sell!
