the mother lode of craft fair lists

ALERT!!! THIS IS AN OLD MOTHERLODE CRAFT FAIR LIST. VIEW THE NEW ONE HERE.

February 16, 2007
hello crafties! so, this is the new year.
please have a look at the current list and send us some updates (especially if you know that your organization's website is not up-to-date but you have some locked-in dates for craft fairs later this year)
***

A few of you have sent in some new craft fair listings, and Michelle herself has continued to send in more and more! So I figured it might be time for an update and move this baby back to the top of the blog. Keep sending more craft fair listings!

Sept 17, 2006

O.k., maaaajor props to Michelle of Margie Jewellery for compiling such an extensive list of Toronto area craft fairs (plus contact info) and agreeing to sharing it with us all. What's great about Michelle's list is that it includes great indie shows like the DUDE and Crafternoon Tea, as well as industry juggernauts like One of a Kind and even the Ex. So something for everyone. I've added a couple of additional listings and strongly encourage you all to keep this list growing by adding your own discoveries in the comments. I'll add a link this post on the sidebar so it can be a continual resource. Thanks again Michelle!!!

I had the bead oasis on there, but the dates were not verified because the website only shows dates for 2007.
Last Minute Craft Fair is up, and I made sure the correct contact is up for the Tranzac show. (I also removed the Annex Christmas market, which I think Donna said is no longer running).
I hope everything is as accurate as possible, thanks for your help!

Hello from the Holly Berry Fair

We are a community Christmas fair in down town Toronto - this year Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 pm. We raise money for outreach activities of our United Church including Out of the Cold, Doctors without Borders and Eyesight International. We do not charge booth space but ask for 25% of sales from vendors. We still have a few openings for this year and would be interested in hearing from silversmiths, lotions and soaps, Christmas decorations for example.

Please send me an email with photos or a link if you are interested.

Bloor West Village Arts and Crafts Show & Sale

The 26th Annual event is being held this year on Saturday, November 10th, 2007. This craft show was conceived many years ago as a showcase for local talent. We are proud of its noncommercial ambiance and it is our aim to maintain the hand-made, home-made aspect of our show and sale. We have a wide variety of crafters-everything from hand-made soaps and bath products to beaded jewellery to artists displaying their prints to hand-made dolls and wood carving. There is something for everyone!!!

It is hosted at Runnymede United Church, 432 Runnymede Rd. (Just 2 blocks north of Bloor St.)
The fine print:
$60.00 for an 8 foot table
$110.00 for a 16 foot table
(no percentage of vendor's profits are collected)
An admission charge of $2.00 per person will be taken at the door. As well, we host a bake sale and snack bar for shoppers and vendors.

If you are intersted in being a part of this year's show, please e-mail our Show Coordination Committee at bloorwestarts@netscape.net

Happy Crafting!

CASTING CALL FOR CRAFTERS, REPURPOSERS & DO-IT-YOURSELFERS!

Stuff Host Outlines

Could you win a gold medal in the Olympics of shopping? Could you build an armoire out of a flashlight and some gum? Can you make magazine worthy spaces out of garage sale finds?

Magee TV, the producers of So Chic, Design Rivals and The Smart Woman Survival Guide are developing a new lifestyle show all about stuff. Our closets, our bathrooms even our purses are crammed with… well, stuff. There’s stuff we don’t use, and stuff we use a lot, and even some stuff we’ve never been quite sure what to do with – and now we’re looking for some clever hosts to tell us just what to do with it all.

Who we’re looking for:

The Shopper who knows when to save and when to splurge. Our ideal candidate is someone who can break down the reasoning behind the purchases we make, and guide our viewers to savvy choices with their spending money.

The Re-purposer who knows what can be used (and used again). Our ideal candidate is a Macgyver, taking everyday objects and repurposing them to even better use. We’re looking for someone who can do-it-themselves, and show us how to do it too.

The Organizer who knows how to make the most out of the things we already have, and when it’s time to let items go. Our ideal candidate can rearrange the most mundane of atmospheres and bring them to life, showing the viewers simple tricks to make the most of the purchases we’ve made.

If you know how to buy the best new stuff, get rid of the bad news stuff, or recycle, repurpose, and redesign the old stuff we already have, we’ve got the perfect showcase for you.

Please send us a description of yourself including but not limited to, on-air experience, photos and contact info along with a brief write-up telling us about yourself and why you would be the perfect person to help viewers tackle their mountains of stuff. Deadline for application is Wednesday, September 26th. Applications will be accepted either via email to info@mageetv.com or mail to:
