Hometown Blues is the inaugural exhibition by 2nd Place, a nomadic contemporary art gallery taking over idle spaces in the city of Toronto. For this exhibition 2nd Place has installed itself in an alley garage behind the Great Hall at Queen Street West and Dovercourt.

The artists in Hometown Blues all share a sparse humorous touch and a propensity for beauty in the mundane. The exhibition will include new and specially commissioned work by Sarah Bennett (video and works on paper), Mark Clintberg (works on paper), Claire Greenshaw (video and watercolours), Evan Quigley (mixed media on paper), Gregory Reynolds (wood burnings) and Kevin Rodgers (drawings of relatively attractive Republicans).

All work is for sale, all proceeds to support the artists and further 2nd Place programming.
