The Fair and Vendors Room are open to the public. Admission is Free.


CBBAG's Book Arts Fair offers an opportunity to see a diverse range of practices within book arts from the craft of traditional bookbinding to innovative contemporary books. It features fine bookbinding, letterpress printing, private presses, one of a kind artists' books, decorated papers, handmade paper and unique works that challenge the definition of the book form.

The Book Arts Fair will showcase the work of book artists from the Toronto area and regional CBBAG groups from across Canada.

The Vendors Room, adjacent to the Book Arts Fair, is open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Book art suppliers from Canada, U.S.A. and Europe.

CBBAG is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization with seven regional chapters across Canada, representing over 575 members. CBBAG supports, promotes, and seeks to inspire participation in traditional bookbinding and the contemporary book arts. It does this through the efforts of its members and volunteers by providing high quality book arts information, resources, education, exhibition and networking opportunities to the Canadian book arts community and interested public. Members will be available to provide information and answer questions.

The Art of the Book '08 a juried exhibition of members' work celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild, the Ontario Crafts Council Gallery, 990 Queen Street West, www.craft.on.ca to October 26, and a concurrent exhibition Book Variations, Harbourfront, South Vitrines, York Quay Centre to November 8.
