CRAFTY BIZ: Deadline for Ontario Arts Council Grants (October 15)

OCTOBER 15, 2008 is the deadline for the Ontario Arts Council's craft grant programs for individual craft artists, collectives and organizations.

CRAFT PROJECTS: INDIVIDUALS
This grant is to support your creative and/or professional development - to spend time in the studio exploring a new direction or continuing a body of work, undertake a creative residency, take master classes, participate in an important conference or exhibition, etc.

You can apply for up to $15,000 to cover your living expenses, studio costs, materials, research and travel.

CRAFT PROJECTS: COLLECTIVES AND ORGANIZATIONS
This grant is to support artist collectives, guilds and organizations to undertake projects such as craft exhibitions, workshops, lectures, publications, residencies, etc. Grants are up to $12,000.

OAC has just announced a new pilot program for national and international touring, exhibitions and artists' residencies. Currently there are no deadlines so you can apply at any time.
