SHORT JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a fan of toys, dolls and pop culture, and a big kid at heart? Are you interested in working with a creative and entrepreneurial company? Happy Worker is on the hunt for a top notch seamstress and sewer who loves making custom items.

We're looking for a contract seamstress or hobby sewer, but only if:

You are a…
- Experienced, talented sewer, able to create a variety of sewn items, including clothing, plush, and miniature play items
- Creative designer, able to conceptualize and create patterns for a desired finished product
- Person who sews professionally, or likes to sew on evenings and weekends as a hobby or side
- Self-motivated go-getter, able to work with minimal direction

Your Creative Mission is to…
- Work on a project by project basis, according to client needs and pro! duct requests
- Help create designs for never before seen clothing, toys and plush items
- Design patterns based on 2D or 3D drawings, suggest textiles and materials, and perform all cutting and sewing
- Create sample items for client approval. Perform alternations as requested
- Sew items in quantities from a few dozen to hundreds, depending on the project
- Use your expertise to ensure retail quality finished products, with high attention to detail
- Work productively, whether during the week day, on evenings or weekends
- Give your feedback and suggestions on products and projects

FYI…
- Competitive compensation will be provided on a project by project basis
- All interested applicants should possess or have access to their own equipment, tools and working space. (Ideally in the GTA)
