x Can anyone recommend a source for needle felting supplies in toronto? Specifically, the wool? – Sarah

x I’m getting married in August and will be doing a Candy table at the event. I am looking to rent a ‘Market Stall’ or another name for it would be vegetable cart or carnival booth. It would need to have a covered Awning. Does anyone know of a company I can get this from? – Tracey

x I am looking for a website, or somewhere in the city, that will make notebooks for you. Custom ones, where you design the cover. – Amanda

x Anyone know where to buy woven wool fabric , thick and one colour only preferably for upholstery. – Catia

x I would like to start making pendants with glass and metal to create a 'window' effect. I am a Toronto resident, and was wondering what and where to buy the necessary materials (and their prices), and if theres anywhere that offers lessons. - Natasha

x I am looking for someone that does wooden memory boxes where a photograph is embossed on the top of the box and then glazed over. - Ellen

x I need to get some clear bags for packaging small amounts of food (eg. cookies, nuts); I'm interested in finding greener options than traditional cellophane (eg. clear biodegradable bags), but I'm having trouble finding companies/stores that sell to individuals, or in quantities smaller than 1000. Any ideas? – Kyla

x I was wondering if you knew where I could go to get a simple fabric label made in Toronto? The type that just sits on the neck area of the garment. - Axel

re: needle felting supplies
have you tried "lettuce knit" in kensington market? a few years ago my husband bought me a "starter needle felting kit" there so maybe they still carry stuff? also, you might try "romni" if you haven't already because when i took a drop-spindle class there they supplied lots of pretty wool roving for us to use.

re: notebooks
what about cafepress.com? i'm pretty sure you can upload your own design and they can make a notebook for you.

I've seen needle felting kits at the workroom, and the roving at the knit cafe.

the workroom definitely does carry a variety of wool roving colours for needle felting, along with the tools made by Clover. We even have a few books on needle felting!

about the felting needles ... you can buy a starter kit that comes with 3 different guages, a sponge block and instructions on how to make your first felted coaster at naked sheep on queen east.

i started there and went through a felting frenzy!

have fun!

I'm looking for wood boxes for crafting. Different sizes and shapes so I can paint them. I only found some at Michaels and small ones at Dollar stores, but Micheal is way overpriced and the dollar store one too small.
Where can I find a manufacturer or a very good store in Toronto and GTA?
Hope to hear from you soon.

Flavia
