Starting March 1st, The Sewing Studio will be holding it's very own Fashion School, a three-course program designed to prep anyone looking to study fashion in college, university or private technical institutions. Students learn:

•The application criteria of fashion programs both local and abroad,
•How to make an application stand out,
•The elements of a creative portfolio,
•Industry standards, such as types of jobs and salary expectations,
•The steps to starting a business in fashion,
•How to design a clothing line,
•How to use industrial sewing machines and sergers.

The Sewing Studio's Fashion School is the only course of it's kind offered in Toronto and is taught by the Studio's instructor Tarah, who owns a costume and prop rental house, has over 15 years experience in the fashion industry and was an honour student at both the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and the London College of Fashion.

Part 1 begins on March 1st. Running for seven weeks every Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., it's sure to give every aspiring fashionista a major jump-start in the world of style.
