CRAFTY BIZ: check out the workroom

A little note from Karyn, giving us the lowdown on her fantastic new craft space & shop:

fabric selection

the workroom is open for business and has a growing collection of colourful printed cotton fabrics. We have the entire Denyse Schmidt "Katie Jump Rope" collection, many prints from her "Fleamarket Fancy" collection, cute Heather Ross prints, and Lecien from Japan. Finally, you can shop locally for all those gorgeous printed fabrics. This is just the beginning, we are expecting many more fabrics including Joel Dewberry, Echino and Kokka from Japan.

the workroom is also Toronto's first 'sew & craft by the hour' space. Drop in and use our sewing machines (Husqvarnas!), serger, cutting table and irons. There is even an addictive 1" button maker you can use (and we sell the parts). Browse the new and vintage craft books and magazines in the library and make yourself a cup of tea. It's time to get crafty at the workroom!

We'll be posting our November and December workshop calendar next week. Please get in touch if you're interested in receiving it - makesomething@theworkroom.ca

the workroom is located at 1340 Queen Street West (just east of Brock)
